Member Spotlight: Frank Ciccarella, Owner, Synergize Consulting, LLC





  1. How long have you been a member of TTA? Eleven Years

  2. Why did you join TTA? I joined to Network with other members while at a Corporate Officer for a company in Chicago.

  3. What’s your favorite part of being a member of TTA? The interaction with other members and the committee work that I do.

  4. What committee do you currently serve on? On/Demand Taxi, NEMT and Paratransit, Student Transportation

  5. What city are you located in and what is the size of your fleet? I am a consultant located in Gardner, Kansas.

  6. What type of service does your company provide? We provide management consulting on developing a company’s Programs, Policy and Procedures which helps develop the company Safety Culture.

  7. What do you love most about the transportation industry? I enjoy the face-to-face training that I am involved in.

  8. How do you define success? There are three areas that help me define success, the first is my Personal Success, I have a great wife and family around me with two married children and six grand children from the ages of 2 to 18.   The second is my Professional Success, that covers my corporate positions to now owning Synergize Consulting.  One such success was being nominated and awarded as the TLPA Operator of the Year in 2018. The third success is my Business success. Synergize Consulting was launched in 2018 and has continually grown and has contributed to the industry though education programs at the conferences, to helping new companies with their start-up, to overseeing safety activity at companies across the US.

  9. Who inspires you? Inspiration often comes from various sources, such as individuals, movements,  and experiences.  I am able to work with many amazing individuals and have learned from them. In my 42 plus years in the industry, many movements and experiences have influenced the way I run Synergize Consulting.

  10. If you could choose anyone as a mentor, who would you choose and why? My father.  He was a fleet manager, owned his own business and a fleet of vehicles, and managed many drivers over his years.

  11. What advice would you give to someone who wants to enter the transportation industry? Start from the ground up, learn about the business, the vehicles, and how to treat your employees.

  12. What’s one thing — either industry-related or not — you learnt in the last month? For the drivers, not applying what is taught to them in the classroom and behind the wheel is dangerous. They have to understand that the foundational approach to learning this business is how to remove the risk involved.

  1. What’s something about you (a fun fact) that not many people know?  I love to travel to Hawaii.

  2. What’s the last book you read? Pearl Harbor the Way it Was, December 7,1941

  3. What is your favorite hobby? I enjoy building military miniatures. Specifically model ships.

  4. What’s the first concert you ever attended? Paul Revere and the Raiders

  5. What’s the next place on your travel bucket list? Ireland

  6. Are you currently binge-watching any shows? No

  7. If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be? Pasta

  8. What’s one item you can’t live without? My wife.
