Welcome to the Government Relations Committee.

 

We serve as the organization’s strategic policy engine—monitoring legislative and regulatory activity at all levels of government, analyzing emerging issues, and shaping the association’s advocacy priorities. The committee leads the industry’s response on critical issues such as the protection of independent contractor status, strengthening and expanding non-emergency medical transportation, safeguarding the role of private-sector microtransit, ensuring compliance with the ADA, and advancing policies that promote driver and passenger safety. By engaging directly with policymakers, coordinating member input, and developing clear, unified policy positions, the Government Affairs Committee ensures the industry’s voice is heard and that transportation providers are equipped to thrive in an evolving regulatory environment.
