How Effective Customer Service is Key to Success

Kyle Summers, one of the owners of Marigold Communications, has been invested in the customer service and call center operations industry since 2007.

Summers’ entry into call center operations started early. After gaining experience working at his university’s call center, he landed his first post-graduate job at Yellow Cab’s call center in Virginia.

After that, Summers’ passion for effective customer service, and his growing interest in transportation, led him to work for iCabbi, another TTA associate member. After four years of working with iCabbi’s operations team in North America, he eventually went on to launch his own company, Marigold Communications.

Based in Serbia, Marigold Communications currently provides call center customer services to clients in the United States and Canada. Focused specifically on the transportation industry’s needs, Marigold Communications provides its clients with 24/7 dispatch services, offers technical support when needed and delivers integrations with APIs (Application Programming Interface).

Summers and his business partner, Nancy Stankovic, chose to base Marigold Communications’ staffed call center in Serbia because of the local workforce’s in-depth knowledge of languages, their exceptionally strong work ethic, and their ability to juggle multiple tasks. “It is extremely important in an industry like this (customer service) to have agents that can handle and juggle the complex variables effectively and efficiently,” Summers said.

As to what makes Marigold Communications unique, Summers says it boils down to all of the services the company provides. “We are experts in the industry and experts in transportation software,” Summers said. “Not only do we provide advice on special services, we also provide advanced support for transportation technology, helping companies create their own custom software or integrating into software that’s already offered.”

With a passion for providing superior customer service, Marigold Communications has recently retained several new clients, in spite of the pandemic’s economic impacts.

Summers has been involved with TTA ever since he first stepped into the transportation industry. Once he embarked on launching his own company, he made sure Marigold Communications was a part of the TTA community knowing how important TTA is to the industry.
