Comedian and Motivational Speaker Ross Shafer to Deliver Meaningful Keynote Speech at Mobilize 2019

(ROCKVILLE, Md.)—Comedian and author of nine business books, Ross Shafer, will deliver a keynote speech at Mobilize 2019, the annual convention and expo of The Transportation Alliance to be held October 16-19 at Bally’s in Las Vegas.

While Shafer has earned six TV Emmys as a network talk and game show host, he credits his success to his childhood business: reselling bicycles at age 13. As he grew older, Shafer’s passion for business only deepened as he began flipping cars at age 15. By age 18, he was flipping homes. By 21, after college, he began buying and selling companies.

As a coach for leaders and teams, including 73 of the Fortune 100 companies, Shafer uses his specific blueprints for success in every job and every industry. Within that blueprint is a focus on cross-pollinating innovative ideas in emerging trends, shifting buying habits, and the motivation of workforces during mergers and acquisitions.

Shafer’s talented not only in business but in conveying his strategies to others has led to further notoriety in broadcasting, book writing, professional speaking and stand-up comedy. Throughout his career, Shafer has focused on communicating complex ideas with great fun - and with what he describes as an “everyman” quality.

Shafer’s keynote presentation is being sponsored by the Taxicab, Limousine & Paratransit Foundation. During his address, Shafer will be discussing his customer service insights through what he calls the “Pow Wow Effect.” Shafer’s speech, as with all keynotes, is open to all attendees of Mobilize 2019.

“Not only are we expecting Ross’s speech to be filled with humor and vigor, but we’re thrilled for the incredible business advice he will be sharing with those attending Mobilize 2019,” said Robbie Werth, President of the Taxicab, Limousine & Paratransit Foundation. “Like so many of our members, Ross has demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit from a young age. And, also like our members, he knows the value of hard work and how it contributes to better service and professional success.”

In addition to Shafer’s remarks, Mark Joseph, former CEO of Trandev North America, and Robbie Makinen, CEO of the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority, will also be delivering keynote speeches at Mobilize 2019.
