No one wants to
feel like the new kid. Not in elementary school, and not at a professional
conference. But if you’re planning to
make TLPA’s 99th Annual Convention & Trade Show your first meeting, going in with an open mind and a smile will make
all of the difference. Just ask Roman Genov.
Roman is a
relatively new member of TLPA. He and his brother run a transportation company
in Connecticut, which provides local and long distance livery rides, as well as
non-emergency medical transportation services. They joined TLPA earlier this
hesitate to get involved with the organization. He attended our Spring
Conference & Expo in Palm Springs and our Legislative Day in Washington,
D.C. Both, he says, were full of friendly faces and useful information.
“I loved it. I met
a lot of new people. The presentations were on different topics and were
useful, and I took a lot of notes. Everyone was very friendly and willing to
help,” he said.
TLPA will host its 99th Annual Convention & Trade Show at the Hyatt Regency Denver / Colorado
Convention Center from October 8-12, and it will be Roman’s first Annual
“I'm really looking
forward to being there,” he said. “I hope to meet new vendors providing
dispatch solutions, and other hi-tech innovations. Also, I hope to hear new
thoughts and ideas from speakers.”

and exchange ideas on how to better their businesses and their respective

member or haven’t been to a meeting before, don’t fret. Roman – and hundreds of
your peers — will be there to welcome you. For new members preregistering for
your first TLPA Annual Convention & Trade Show, there also will be our new
member welcome, orientation and lunch, where you’ll get to meet Roman. Just
keep in mind enthusiasm is the key to a successful conference, regardless of
how long you’ve been involved in TLPA.
